Summertime is a great time of year for Desiree since she loves to be outside. She can be playing soccer, going to the zoo, swimming at the beach, swinging or looking at the stars…whatever the activity, she enjoys the great outdoors. Even when the weather keeps her from being outside, she loves to play with her dolls, watch cartoons or listening to music. Desiree…eager to find her forever family is looking for a one or two parent home that can give her the love and nurturing she has been longing for. She has worked hard in individual counseling and has been without a family for most of her life. Her therapist asks that a family recognize that Desiree’s strengths include a deep belief in faith, a desire to care for vulnerable people and ability to verbalize her thoughts and feelings when encouraged by people with whom she trusts. Desiree will need a family that is consistent, structured and willing to participate in further therapy.
