Maddy, as she likes to go by, is a caring and loving 15 year old girl, growing up in care. She is a good sister and friend. She loves basketball, and singing and swimming. Maddy likes school, friends, and teachers. She needs to stay connected with siblings. Maddy struggles with the loss of many important people in her life and would do best with a family that understands that it can be difficult for her to attach, and can offer her structure and much needed nurturance. When asked her what kind of a family she wanted, she said she is open to ANY kind. Top on her list of favorite foods are rice and beans and as for music, her favorite singer is Prince Royce. She is often seen with listening to her Ipod and jokes, "You know when I likes you, cuz I'll turn the volume down!" Maddy also enjoys playing with dogs. Maddy gets along well with adults and children and is polite and helpful. Her proudest moment is when she helped her Mom take care of her family. She hopes to visit Florida one day. When asked Maddy why having a family was important to her, she said "It is important to have a family that cares for me, loves me, and wants to help me through things in my life".
