Lace November 1998 "Hi my name is Lace. I am an adventurous 10 year old. I like roller coasters and I am not afraid of heights. I love to play outdoors, especially football, basketball, and swimming. I also enjoy music, pottery and shopping at the mall." Lace is an endearing young girl who is excited to begin her adoption journey. When she talks about adoption, Lace says, "I want a safe place to live. It doesn't matter to me whether I have one parent or two because I want to get out of the place I am living. It's unfair being in a group home, I'd rather be adopted, than be anywhere else. I like to make friends but it is hard to make friends living in a group home." Lace is currently in the 4th grade. Although she is not a fan of Math, she does like Science and socializing with friends. Lace is beginning to learn cursive writing and enjoys this very much. Outside of the classroom, Lace likes horses and one of her dreams is to have the opportunity to take horseback riding lessons. "I like horses because they are big, pretty, and I want to be able to take care of one. I wouldn't even mind taking care of a goldfish, or any other pet", says Lace.  Another dream Lace has is to have her own forever family. She would do well in a family who has older children and a family who can provide love, consistency, and structure to help Lace fulfill her dream of being in a family.
